IN THE BEGINNING ........................

Hello & Welcome............

Well here I am.  Thrust into the world of Blogsville.  I have so much to learn so on a daily basis and I will challenge myself to learn more with every post . So please bear with me whilst the new information is processed and applied...Well, lets hope !!!  I still have NO IDEA how anyone will find this.  This little challenge will remain to be seen.

Girl e Business has been established with love, care, support and of course with YOU in mind.  It really is all about YOU! It is my intention to provide a place where women from all walks of life can join to share their life experiences, learn from others, and to find help, care and support when required.

Last year was a very challenging year for me, but as we know out of evil good always comes.  I was quite ill and sort to seek help in the attempt to understand what had and was happening to me.  I was extremely fortunate that I had the emotional and physical support of my wonderful family and friends.  At this time nothing meant more to me than to speak to someone who had been through the same thing and understood exactly how I felt.  It brought huge relief to me just knowing that someone else could relate to the experience itself.

During this time, though I came to the realisation that this might not be the case for everyone.  I know my experience cannot be even closely compared to that of someone being diagnosed with Cancer, Diabetes or any other disease that some amazingly strong Women are challenged with, but it was enough to catapult me to try and help make a change for the better. 

 Unfortunately, I didn't really find a place where I could discuss anything with anyone other than my friends or Doctors. Disappointed, despondent and overwhelmed by fact sheets, pages and pages of information, phone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses etc I gave up. I did find alot of individual websites, that were extremely supportive with information but I was still looking for that place where there were other women like me that might benefit from a chat or discussion with a complete stranger. 

A place where you could chat to someone with the same illness, problems or fears as yourself even if it was a total stranger.  Speaking from experience this sometimes seems to be the best person to talk to.  For whatever reason, it seems you can be more open with a stranger with no fear of judgement or ridicule.  There is no thought in your mind that restricts you from telling it as it is and explaining exactly how you feel.  It can also be extremely healing.  I also learnt from my experience that a stranger can turn out to be one of your best friends whether they are living next door to you or on the other side of the world.

My heart sank at the thought of anyone going through what I had been through on their own, and to be honest I couldn't imagine how anyone would ever be strong enough to cope with an illness or just problems in general without any support. Since I have recovered I have felt an overwhelming determination to get out into the world and try and create a place for these people to go.  A place where they can gain information in relation to their current situation, be it illness, relationship problems, health information, and on a lighter note shopping and chocolate...Yes lots of chocolate! (That will be explained at a later date!) Hence Girl e Business was born.  The place where Girly business can be talked about at any time! by anyone!

Some people struggle through life and their problems alone be it health, financial, family etc etc.  These people are often Single parents, Widows, or just people who during their life's path have somehow been separated from their families and friends. It would be my hope that these people where no longer surrounded by loneliness, fear and isolation and that they could take comfort in the fact they had somewhere to turn to other than their wonderful support groups, foundations and charities.

Finding someone who is suffering with the same problems as yourself, increases both parties self esteem and  also encourages  a newfound strength that you never new you had.  It also promotes huge relief and comfort in the fact that there is someone out there just like yourself, with the same fears, insecurities and concerns.

It is not my intent to base Girl E Business exclusively on health problems but to bring to the fore questions for us in all areas of life.  These could include the subjects of, parenting, fashion, house cleaning, recipes, health & wellbeing, spirituality, anything really OH and MEN!  Anything that you might like to know about or just as important like other people to know. I really do need your help.  I will be relying on all of the "Girlies" to provide that information for others and to have input and share their own experience to help others in any shape or form.

It is my hope to create many different aspects of Girl E Business and whilst all the ideas remain in my head for the moment, by posting this I hope that in some way it is the start of things to come.

All that I ask is that any comments made are made with complete respect to individuals and are always remain inspiring to others with the upmost positivity in mind.
